/Yamiko/
I was in the library, looking for some books to read. Almost all the books in the library, I have finished reading them. I wanted to find new ones. I hoped the school had new books. I was bored so I went out. I walked to the tennis courts and it was empty.
I took out my tennis racquet and started to practice on my own. I was too concentrated in this that I did not notice that someone was watching me. I ignored the person and continued to train.
“Yamiko, why are you ignoring me, Nya!” I heard Kikumaru’s voice.
“I’m sorry, Kiku-kun, I was too concentrated in the training.” I answered.
“Oh, it’s alright, Yamiko.” He smiled his cheesy smile.
I was known as the Icy Player. I was too cold and my face had no emotion at all. Most of the people would just run away from me. However, Kiku-kun was the only one that was not afraid of me. It kept me wondering for a long time. Yet, I liked being with him.
I did not know why though. He ran to me and gave me something.
“What is it?” I asked.
“Open it and you’ll like it.” Kiku-kun said.
I accepted it and opened it. It was a bracelet with a cross. I loved it. I looked at Kiku-kun and he was blushing. I looked down. Why must he treat me so well? I was not worth anybody’s time.
“Yamiko, I don’t want to hear you say you don’t want it, because I want you to keep it.” Kiku-kun said.
“Well, thank you.” I said with my emotionless face.
“I’ll bring you to somewhere it will lighten you up.”
I nodded my head and I packed my things. Kiku-kun pulled my hand and both of us ran to a huge box. It was the one that was shipped on cargo ship. He leaped on top of it and he offered his hand. I took it and he helped me up. It was sunset.
It was beautiful. I was holding on to the bracelet. Kiku-kun looked at me and helped me to wear it. He tied it to my wrist and my tears were flowing. It dropped on Kiku-kun’s hands. He was shocked to see me cry.
“What’s wrong, Yamiko? You don’t like it?” He asked sadly.
“No, thank you, Kiku-kun, I really like it.” I answered.
“Then, don’t cry. Otherwise, people would think that I bully you.” He wiped my tears away.
“Okay…” I nodded and Kiku-kun was still holding my face.
I blushed and this was my first time. Kiku-kun was inches in and I was closing in too. Then, I felt his hot breathe on my lips. His soft lips touched mine and we shared our first kiss. He entwined his fingers with mine and I felt happy for real this time.
We parted our lips and I smiled for real this time. He smiled too and I lay my head on his shoulder. We stayed like this for a while. Then, both of us walked home, hand in hand. Now I knew why I liked to stay by his side, which was because I loved him.
“Yamiko, will you be my girlfriend?” He asked.
“Of course, I will!” I jumped on his back and he laughed.
“I’ve never seen you so happy before, Nya!”
“Thank you for making me smiles.”
“No problem, I love you, Yamiko.”
“I love you too, Kiku-kun.” I smiled and kissed his cheek.
